We strive to ensure that our vendors and staff members shares this commitment and conduct their businesses in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
To ensure safety, our products undergo a detailed safety and compliance review and we use CPSIA-accepted third party testing lab partners to meet applicable U.S., Canada and State regulations and standards. We can also implement additional standards to meet the specific requirements of a particular age-group or end-user.
Understanding compliance regulations can be challenging and we’re happy to help - if you have any questions about VisionsXtra’s approach to compliance or need information on a particular product, please contact your sales representative or by emailing [email protected].
Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) Compliance
The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) is a US Federal Law passed in 2008. It dramatically mandated stricter safety requirements for many products, particularly those intended for children aged 12 and under. It also added new restrictions for harmful substances like lead and phthalates.
VisionsXtra is implementing numerous product complience policies and best practices to select and verfiy that our promotional product meets the requirements of the CPSIA. Copies of test reports, General Conformity Certificates (GCC) and Children Product Certificates (CPC) may be provided to you, upon request, as they become available.
Cal Prop 65 Compliance
Also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, California Proposition was passed by California voters in 1986 and applies to every product sold or distributed in California. Prop 65 is a “warning regulation”, which requires sellers to provide consumers with a clear and reasonable warning that a products contains one or more (of over 900) chemicals currently on the state’s list of chemicals that can cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
VisionsXtra’s Prop 65 product compliance approach includes a sourcing and product testing program designed to reduce the risk of a Prop 65 violation as well as providing warning labels on certain products to ensure strict compliance.
